Episode 154 - “The Assignment…”
In this episode of the IAWG podcast, the guys start off by discussing recent comments J. Cole made on Lil Yachty’s “A Safe Place” podcast and debate if music fans are too accepting of new hip hop styles and trends (5:53). Next, they reference recent comments Benny The Butcher made on his Rap Radar interview stating that top rappers like J. Cole have a responsibility to “push the culture forward” (14:39). List the artists we love like Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, etc., but would never see them in concert (28:35), and introduce a new segment to the show called “Albums With Zero Skips” by doing a track-by-track breakdown of ‘Teflon Don’ by Rick Ross and ‘DS2’ by Future (33:24).
